(1) operates a vehicle on a roadway of sufficient width & doesn't drive on the right half of the roadway

(2) this statute doesn't apply when:

(a) overtaking & passing another vehicle going in the same direction under the rules in:

• 811.410 (unsafe passing on the left)

• 811.415 (unsafe passing on the right)

• 811.420 (passing in a no passing zone)

• 811.425 (failure of slower driver to yield to overtaking vehicle)

• 811.808 (Speed limit exemptions for funeral escort vehicle)

(b) preparing to turn left at an intersection, alley or private road or driveway.

(c) an obstruction/condition exists making it necessary to drive to the left of the center, provided the right of way is yielded to all vehicles traveling in the proper direction on the unobstructed portion of the roadway within a distance constituting an immediate hazard.

(d) on a roadway divided into three marked lanes for traffic per the rules in 811.380 (improper use of center lane on three-lane road)

(e) on a roadway restricted to one-way traffic.
