Against the State
Bribe giving
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.015
(1) offers, confers or agrees to confer any pecuniary benefit upon a public servant with the intent to influence the public servant's vote, opinion, judgment, action, decision or exercise of discretion in an official capacity
Bribe receiving
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.025
(1) A public servant commits the crime of bribe receiving if they:
(a) solicit any pecuniary benefit with the intent that their vote, opinion, judgment, action, decision or exercise of discretion as a public servant will thereby be influenced OR
(b) accepts or agrees to accept any pecuniary benefit on an agreement or understanding that the vote, opinion, judgment, action, decision or exercise of discretion as a public servant will thereby be influenced.
Bribery defenses
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.035
(1) in any prosecution under 162.015 (bribe giving), it is a defense that the defendant offered, conferred or agreed to confer the pecuniary benefit as a result of extortion or coercion by the public servant
(2) It's not a defense to a prosecution under 162.015 (bribe giving) & 162.025 (bribe receiving) that the person sought to be influenced was not qualified to act in the desired way, whether because they hadn't assumed office, lacked jurisdiction or for any other reason.
Criminal impersonation of a peace officer
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.367
(1) with the intent to obtain a benefit or to injure or defraud someone, uses false law enforcement identification or wears a law enforcement uniform to give the impression that they are a peace officer & does an act in that assumed character
Criminal impersonation of a public servant
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.365
(1) with intent to obtain a benefit, to injure or defraud someone or to help an unlawful activity, the suspect does an act in the assumed character of a public servant [includes an active member or veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States]
(2) it's not a defense to a prosecution that:
(a) the office, position or title that the person pretended to hold didn't exist in fact OR
(b) the unit of government that the person pretended to represent didn't in fact exist
(3)(b) F(c): if impersonating a peace officer, judge or justice of the peace
Misuse of confidential information
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.425
(1) A public servant violates this statute if in contemplation of official action by them or by a governmental unit with which they're associated, or when relying on information to which they have access in an official capacity & which hasn't been made public, the public servant acquires or helps someone else in acquiring a pecuniary interest in any property, transaction or enterprise which may be affected by the information or official action
Official misconduct 1
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.415
(1) a public servant who if:
(a) with intent to obtain a benefit or to harm another:
(A) knowingly fails to perform a duty imposed upon them by law or one clearly inherent in the nature of office OR
(B) knowingly performs an act constituting an unauthorized exercise in official duties OR
(b) while acting as a supervisory employee, violates 162.405 (official misconduct 2) & is aware of & consciously disregards the fact that the violation creates a risk of:
(B) the commission of a sex crime against a vulnerable person OR
(C) the withholding of necessary & adequate food, physical care or medical attention from a vulnerable person

(1) a public servant who knowingly violates any statute relating to their office
Possession of a false law enforcement identification card
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.369
Public investment fraud
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.117
(1) for the purpose of influencing in any way the action of the State Treasury, the person knowingly makes any false statement or report
(4) As used in this section, action of the State Treasury includes any application, advance, discount, purchase, purchase agreement, repurchase agreement, commitment or loan, or any change or extension of any of them, by renewal, deferment of action or otherwise, or the acceptance, release or substitution of security therefor
Simulating legal process
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.355
(1) with the intent to harass, injure or defraud another person [includes public or private corporation, an unincorporated association or a partnership], the suspect knowingly issues or delivers to another person any document that in form & substance falsely simulates civil or criminal process
Tampering with public records
ORS > Criminal Code > Against the State > 162.305
(1) M(a): without lawful authority, the suspect knowingly destroys, mutilates, conceals, removes, makes a false entry in or falsely alters any public record, including records relating to the Oregon State Lottery
(2) F(c): tampering with records relating to the Oregon State Lottery
