(1) it's a violation of this statute to do any of the following:

(a) drive or move on any highway any vehicle equipped with lighting equipment described under 816.040 to 816.290 (end load lights - defined) that doesn't meet the standards required for the equipment under those statutes

(b) own a vehicle or combination of vehicles & causes or knowingly permits (a) above

(2) The application of this section is subject to the exemptions from this section established under 816.310 (exemptions from lighting equipment requirements)
