(1) operates a motor vehicle causing serious physical injury or death of another person while knowingly violating 811.175 (driving while suspended or revoked) or 811.182 (criminal driving while suspended or revoked), if the suspension/revocation resulted from (or if hardship permit was violated based on a suspension/revocation resulting from) a conviction for a criminal offense involving use of a motor vehicle.

Check for violations of the following statutes:

• 807.570 (failure to carry or present license)

• 809.500 (failure to return suspended, revoked or canceled license)

• 807.600 (using another's license)

• 807.580 (using an invalid license)
